Meet Your Manager, Ellie!
Meet Ellie, your Greystone studio manager. Ellie graduated with her bachelors in Human Biology, but she’s always loved music most.
From viola to clarinet to guitar, drums, and voice, Ellie is a multi-instrumentalist. A college recreation job showed Ellie that her passion lies with building community, which she lives out as a Mason Music studio manager.
“I started my music journey at 9 years old with viola but quickly abandoned that for the opportunity to play the clarinet. I played clarinet and bass clarinet consistently for 8 years. I took a break from music to pursue a degree in Human Biology. During my time in college I worked for the Army in their MWR -Aquatics and Recreation department as a civilian worker to provide Service Men and their families a place to get away from the military life with swimming and exercise programs. It was there that I realized I enjoyed serving my community through providing spaces where people can learn and relax. When I randomly decided to move to Birmingham, I came across Mason Music and knew this was a company I could work for doing what I love most and get more involved with music again. I love how welcoming the Greystone and Mason Music community has been for me. Thanks to the encouraging people at Mason Music, I now can play the guitar, drums, and sing along with playing the clarinet/bass clarinet again.”
