SongCraft is a 12-week songwriting class at Mason Music.
Sign UpRegistration is open July 6-August 9. Space is limited.

Have you ever wanted to write a song but didn’t know where to start?
SongCraft at Mason Music is a hands-on, beginner-friendly class designed to help you unlock your creativity and learn the craft of writing original music—no prior experience required.
Led by real award winning songwriters, this 12-week class focuses on doing, not just learning. You’ll break down real songs, experiment with ideas, and write your own music in a supportive and fun group environment.
The first 10 weeks will focus on learning and practicing the writing process. Week 11 will be focused on recording a demo of one of the class songs and week 12 will be a listening party and class review where friends and family are invited to join.
Whether you play an instrument or just love to sing, this class will give you the tools and confidence to start creating.
Who is this for?
This class is a good fit for:
- 8-12 year olds or 13-18 year olds
- Vocalists
- Instrumentalists
- Creative students who want instruction
- Students who love writing lyrics, melody or storytelling.
What You’ll Learn
- The core building blocks of great songs (melody, lyrics, structure, and hooks)
- How to understand songs you love—and apply those ideas to your own writing
- Creative exercises to generate writing ideas
- How to turn a simple concept into a full song
- The mindset of a songwriter: embracing the process (yes—even writing a few “bad” songs along the way)

Meet Your Teacher

Gabby Tulloch
Gabby is a songwriter and artist originally from Worcester, Massachusetts. Two things she loves most: her cats and songwriting, both of which have been a central part of her life since a young age. She has been writing songs since she was 9 years old, and later studied songwriting and Music Therapy at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Following her studies, Gabby worked as a mentee and assistant to author and professor Pat Pattison.
Since moving to Nashville, Gabby has been writing, recording, playing, and co-producing for both her own artist projects as well as others on and off stage, including several sync opportunities with songs featured in Netflix shows. She has performed at venues including the Bluebird Cafe, the Ryman Auditorium, and various other writer rounds in music city.
Alongside her own artist endeavors, Gabby also teaches elementary music lessons and is a songwriting faculty member at Berklee Online.
