Meet your Manager, Serena
Meet Serena, your Woodlawn studio manager. A passionate multi-instrumentalist from a young age, Serena started writing for and performing in local bands at 16 and has not stopped since.
Serena brings her tried-and-true leadership skills to her role at Mason Music after managing retail teams. Did you know? Serena plays guitar, bass, piano, and sings.
“Hi I’m Serena! I started my career managing GameStops across Birmingham for years before finding my dream job here at Mason Music! I’ve been playing music since the age of 3; starting with drums and then moving on to learn piano, guitar, bass, and voice. I began writing and performing in bands around Alabama at the age of 16 and never stopped! When you step into our Woodlawn location, you’ll be met by an inspiring team of teachers and families. We motivate all of our students to improve, celebrate wins whether big or small, and (most importantly) have FUN! In Woodlawn, you’ll never meet a stranger and you’ll find yourself embraced in our Mason Music Family! We’d love to meet you and start you on the path to rock n’ roll!”
Located on 1st Ave North in the historic downtown business district of Woodlawn, Mason Music is housed within Woodlawn Theatre. Mason Music Woodlawn is located across the street from Woodrow Hall and Cornerstone School on 1st Ave North. On-street parking is available, with additional parking in the municipal lot behind Woodrow Hall or around the corner behind the James Rushton Early Learning Center.
