My daughter, age 3, has been going to the Animal Adventure classes and loves them! I’m amazed at how fast she’s learning and I can see how much effort her instructor is putting into her class… She looks forward to going to class every week. I love the idea of appreciation through certificate and medal after passing each level, it’s something for the kids to look forward to. At such a young age, they’re like a sponge and absorb everything thrown at them. Animal Adventures does a great job in channeling all my daughter’s musical curiosity in the right direction.Animal Adventures Parent
We started just before my child turned 5 and it’s a great program for this age. My child gets giddy with excitement every week when it’s music day and has so much fun. I can tell that a TON of care and thought was poured into designing this program. At the end of each level (10 total), they receive a certificate and a medal…if you haven’t seen a proud kid, just wait!Animal Adventures Parent
I was apprehensive about what my son was actually absorbing at first, but then I helped him with his homework and he knew it all! From just a 30 minute lesson where he spent the majority of the time dancing around and being silly, he remembered what he was taught and actually taught me! The program and the rewards for “homework” and learning really drove my son to want to learn more!Animal Adventures Parent
Why does music matter for your child?
Language Development
Music is an incredible tool to support your child’s growing vocabulary and communication skills. You will be amazed at how fast your preschooler’s language skills will blossom with weekly music classes!
Social and Emotional Skills
Music helps us understand emotions and connect to those around us. Through musical play, your child will learn how to interact with their peers and grow the areas of their brain associated with emotional regulation and empathy.
Early Math and Reasoning
Who knew music had such strong ties to future math and logic skills? Studies show that children who learn how to play an instrument have better math skills than children who don’t. This might be the easiest way to set your child up for success later in life!

FAQ
-
What are AAM lessons like?
AAM classes are divided into three 10 minute segments to keep young students focused and excited.
Table Time: Each class starts with table time. Here, your child and their teacher will get familiar with new concepts through a whiteboard, character and sticker filled workbooks, and flashcards.
Rug Time: Next, your child and their teacher will take to the colorful music staff rug to practice note reading, rhythm, and musical expression. This high-energy time includes backyard style and silly role reversal games to solidify concepts while getting the wiggles and giggles out.
Stage Time: Finally, class wraps up with hands-on exploration, listening, and learning of one of the 10 instruments covered in the curriculum.
-
How is AAM different from other preschool music classes?
Other preschool music classes are taught in groups for sessions, which can pose big scheduling difficulties. (Work, carpool, or nap time, anybody?). However, AAM is scheduled like any other private music lesson, giving even the youngest music enthusiasts individual instruction. You choose the teacher, day of the week, and time that works best for your family’s calendar.
-
Why choose AAM over starting instrument-specific lessons?
Most children don’t have the required dexterity to play an instrument until they can tie their own shoes. But that doesn’t mean you should wait to introduce them to music! Waiting until your child is 7 to hold an instrument would be like keeping them from seeing a book until kindergarten and hoping they can catch up.
-
What gear do I need to start AAM lessons?
Nothing! Seriously. At your child’s first lesson, we’ll give them a special new student tote bag with welcome information and a level one workbook. After level one, you’ll buy a new workbook for each level. We’ve got the rest handled!
-
What’s the best age to start?
