For Emma, music has become more than just a weekly lesson it’s a way to have fun, express herself, and discover new passions.
Finding Her Voice
Emma has been a student with Mason Music for one year. She has been taking lessons with her teacher Lauren Parrish to find the right range for her voice and develop her skills. Her teacher has also been there to support her beyond her lessons, including helping her prepare for show choir tryouts.
One accomplishment she is especially proud of is reaching her highest belt. It’s a wonderful example of how the right guidance and encouragement can help a student reach new goals.
Emma is now a member of her school’s show choir, giving her the opportunity to perform on stage and put her musical skills into practice.

Exploring Music
Emma loves all types of music and enjoys everything from Disney songs to Dolly Parton. She’s also been learning her show choir repertoire, giving her plenty of opportunities to explore different styles. For her, music has made life more fun and enjoyable. It has also opened the door to a new passion for performing.
When she isn’t at her music lesson or rehearsing with show choir, she enjoys drawing, playing on her iPad, and dancing. Her creativity shines through in all of the things she enjoys.
Emma’s Advice
When asked what advice she would give other music students, Emma had a message that says a lot about her approach to new opportunities:
“Don’t be afraid to go for what you want!!!”
Emma has certainly taken her own advice. From working toward new vocal goals to trying out for show choir, she’s embraced opportunities to challenge herself and grow.
We’re so proud of everything Emma has accomplished during her first year at Mason Music and excited to see what comes next. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to step outside her comfort zone make her a wonderful part of the Mason Music family.
