Performers don’t have to dress up unless you want to, and the atmosphere is casual while remaining very respectful of the performers. We collect a recital fee in order to cover the cost of the event, including the facility rental and staff. If you’re taking pictures and videos to post on social media, please tag @masonmusicrocks on Instagram and Twitter, or Mason Music on Facebook, so we can like them too!

Mason Music Recitals

Our recitals are one of the most important experiences our students have. Here are some of the reasons we value them so much:

Mason Music Recitals

1. Parents, grandparents and friends get to enjoy watching the progress of their performer as well as other students. Videos and pictures from recitals are treasured by all for years to come.

2. Students get to perform in front of their peers, increasing their confidence. It’s always fun to watch students over time become more and more confident on stage, because we know that translates to other parts of their lives in a beneficial way.

3. Recitals provide a concrete goal for students to work towards each semester. You’d be amazed at how much practice happens in the weeks and months leading up to the recital!

4. Students get to hear other students play. This is good for two reasons. First, hearing students who are beginners can remind them of how much progress they have made. Secondly, hearing students who are more advanced can inspire them to work hard to become even better. Students always come into lessons after the recital with a list of new songs they want to learn.
