Grace’s drumming journey began after watching a drummer perform at a church retreat. Inspired to try it herself, she started practicing on her sister’s toy drum set so often that her parents eventually signed her up for lessons and bought her a real drum kit!

Now, three months into her Mason Music journey, she is growing her skills with the help of her teacher, John, who she describes as encouraging, patient, and great at explaining things. Grace loves how much fun he makes her lessons!

Inspired by the Classics

Grace loves music from the ’80s and ’90s, especially Journey and Fleetwood Mac. She also shared that music can change her mood, making it a meaningful part of her life.

Outside of drumming, she enjoys film editing, building LEGOs, and playing lacrosse. She also has an exciting goal: starting a band with her friends who play keyboard and guitar!
